Britto Style pumpkins
In this lesson students learned about artist, Romero Britto, who creates brightly colored simple objects with a lot of pattern. Britto is considered a Pop Artist and he uses his work to help earn money for charitable organizations around the world. Students started their drawing with pencil being careful to show the rounded shape of the pumpkin by curving the lines around the pumpkin. Then students used paint and mixed colors to get different values of orange. Next patterns were painted on the pumpkin and background and then everything was outlined in black. Enjoy our pumpkin patch!
